Hi! I'm Sophie.

I'm a New York writer who likes mint tea and sitting in the sun for photosynthesis. I am currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from Stony Brook University, and I have attended the Iowa Writers Workshop. As an undergraduate, I was the founding editor-in-chief of Sandpiper Review, and I currently read for Fractured Lit and am an associate editor at The Southampton Review. Although I primarily write fiction, I also love poetry, scriptwriting, and genre-blending hybrid work. My writing has been featured in BOMB, The Baffler, The Los Angeles Review, Identity Theory, and elsewhere, and my mini-chapbook "Little Divinities" (runner-up for the 2023 MAYDAY Poetry Prize) will be published with New American Press.
